The benefits of belonging to the Alliance

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP and OPEN CLINICAL FORUMS (OCFs)
The Alliance supports its members by working on their behalf to promote the business, negotiate benefits and recognition for practitioners, provide appropriate insurance, create CPD and development opportunities, disseminate information and provide education events. In addition, representation of membership in national negotiations, registration matters, practitioner support, clinical support, business advice, fellowship and social interaction, Volitional Register provision, production of Journal, Annual Seminar, Open Clinical Forums, Benevolent Fund, etc. are all accessed by membership.

Alliance members now have the advantage of an exclusive business development tool - the Alliance Maintenance Plan.

The Alliance has a full-time administration department and is guided by an Executive of Directors who are practitioners in their own right. Also directly engaged in training and education, they are assisted by a Members Executive Panel, input to the Journal Editorial Board, and constant interaction with the membership.

The Alliance is growing rapidly - because it states its purpose clearly and represents its members fearlessly

OPEN CLINICAL FORUMS
The Alliance currently holds OCF meetings for continuing professional development (CPD). These are professionally staged, well attended and delivered by top-flight speakers in good venues. There are OCFs in Yorkshire, South Wales, North Wales and the West Midlands. Others are in the planning stage. Students are actively encouraged to attend these meetings which offer a programme of lectures and access to tradestands carrying instruments, books, materials, etc. OCF meetings are open to absolutely anyone who wants to attend, whatever background - all will be warmly welcomed.

In addition, there is a three day Annual Seminar held in Leicestershire over a Fri/Sat/Sun - 2009 details will be posted soon - again, everyone is made welcome.
